OKN+ is a medical diagnostic suite that currently includes two assessments used by healthcare professionals to detect visual deficits. OKN+ provides the Optokinetic Nystagmus (OKN) Test; a welcome and sterile alternative to yesterday’s drum and ribbon. OKN testing is useful in detecting subtle abnormalities or asymmetries in saccadic or smooth pursuit eye movements. Additionally, for patients who cannot communicate or in whom factitious blindness or malingering is suspected, OKN can assist in determining whether there is an intact visual pathway.
OKN+ also provides the Red Desaturation Test, used to assess for optic nerve pathology. The OKN+ Red Desaturation Test can be used as a diagnostic assessment tool in patient populations such as multiple sclerosis, glaucoma, diabetes, Parkinsons and Alzheimers disease.
